Praslin Island has earned a reputation as the most visited of the Seychelles archipelago. The second largest island in the group, it is the home of one of Seychelles’ two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Vallée-de-Mai, home to the largest seed in the plant kingdom – the Coco-de-Mer.
With its natural charm and beauty, the isle of Praslin attracts many, especially the splendid Vallée de Mai, which is home to a number of endemic species & plants, some of which only grow in the Seychelles.
The island boasts exquisite beaches such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette. Both of them have over the years featured on the list of ‘Top 10 Best Beaches in the world’. Praslin’s perfect location makes it an excellent base from where several excursions can be made to other neighboring islands some of which are significant sanctuaries for rare species of endemic flora and fauna.
